Saturday was an extremely busy and full day. We woke up at 8 am and hit the ground running. We all made and ate breakfast as a family, then went to 7 different stores (all but one of them were thrift stores). I love that I can go thrift shopping with my parents and brother and have a really fun time. We bought lots of junk and saw all kinds of great things for sale. Then we stopped by the house for a quick lunch, then a quick trip to an indoor flea market, then the family split ways. My dad and brother went off to go see guitars, and my mom and I went swimming in the gulf. The water was over 80 degrees, and it was so nice and relaxing. After swimming in the gulf, my mom and I met my brother and dad back at my grandfather's house and we all went for a swim in the pool. Just as we were getting out of the pool, my grandpa's neighbors asked us if we wanted to go for a boat ride in the waterway behind their house. We accepted, and went for a beautiful evening sunset boat ride on their boat with them. Then my family went out for dinner at Carabba's, and we stopped at a 24 hour Walmart on the way home. I couldn't believe how much we had accomplished that day. We really experienced our vacation to the fullest.

As soon as I got home from work on Thursday evening, my dad brother and I headed for Florida in the Avalanche. My dad started out driving, and continued driving from Trenton NJ to Virginia. We left at 7 pm on the dot. Around midnight I drank some coffee and took over driving until 4 am. Then we stopped at South of the Border to use the bathroom and get more gas- too bad almost everything was closed at 4 am. My dad drove for two more hours while I took a quick nap. Around 6:30 we stopped for breakfast at the Waffle House in Georgia- I wasn't impressed with the food but the southern hospitality was a nice change. Then I drove from Georgia at 7 am until we hit some point in Florida around 11 am. We made one pit stop for energy drinks and a bathroom break between GA and FL, and got a quick McDonald's lunch around one pm in FL. It was such a long drive and pretty hard to stay awake but we listened to lots of music, and caffeine and singing sure helped a lot. We got to my grandpa's house in Bonita Springs FL at 4 pm Friday- a 21 hour car ride.
After finally arriving, we went for a swim in his pool, then went to a place called Angelina's for dinner where everything was over priced and it was hard to accommodate everyone's dietary needs. My brother's friend just so happened to be visiting his grandparents minutes away from where we were in FL so my brother's friend and his brother met up with us at the restaurant, then we all went to the dog race track to watch some racing and do some gambling. I won about 25 or 30 bucks, and my dad won 70 dollars in the final race! It's always a good time to check out the races, we usually go once every year we're in FL. After the races we were all so exhausted that it was time for bed. My brother and I slept out on the back screened in porch/patio near the pool. It was really nice to sleep outside and wake up to palm trees and sunshine.

On this particular Tuesday, I woke up extra early and took a quick trip to the gym with my BFF. We kept it short, and then chattered over coffee/tea before we both had to part ways for work. My mom left for Florida today to visit her dad and I had to help her with last minute packing before I really headed to work (the rest of my family is driving down to Florida to meet her at the end of this week). Work was full of work, and it was great, and I got it all done just before I left. I spent the evening checking out a new thrift store (which totally rules, everything is cheap and I got some amazing items) and a not so new thrift store with my dad.
I have another full day ahead of me tomorrow. I can't wait- I love waking up early and staying active.

Monday! My brother is on Spring Break this week, so I woke up to a full house. I enjoyed my coffee/tanning and had lots of teenage boys in and out of my house before I went to work. After work my house was quiet, and I went thrift shopping with my dad, then we bought scratch off lottery tickets together, and now I'm comfy and cozy in my pajamas ready for bed and ready to start a new day of excitement and adventure.

Sunday was SO FULL! It was Palm Sunday so mass was extra long. Then off to Columbus (as you can see from the photos, it rained so much on Saturday that there was flooding at the flea market) where I got almost as many items out of the trash for free as I actually purchased. It was really really windy, and I felt like Marilyn Monroe holding my skirt down the whole time. After Columbus I went to Rider University to check out the exhibit in the art gallery, and I took a walk around campus taking a close look at the sculptures that Rider has. Then I got coffee in Princeton, then enjoyed a really cool nursery, and then had falafel back in Princeton (I ate outside and the wind was so terrible it was nearly impossible to eat at all). I was so worn out, I had to rest when I got home, and I spent the rest of the night at a friend's party with lots of fun people. Sundays are superb.
